Barrington Baptist Church will recognize the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 3. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., everyone is welcome to stop by the church to pray. The National Day of Prayer is a national day of observance set by federal law for the first Thursday of May each year. Congress established the National Day of Prayer as a day “on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.” This year’s national theme is UNITY, #Pray4Unity, based upon Ephesians 4:3: “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Literature to inform and inspire prayer will be available all day for those who wish. Please join us. Barrington Baptist Church is located at 25 Old County Road in Barrington, R.I. With questions, call the church office at 401-246-0188.
