The Portsmouth Lions Club will hold a bingo fundraiser on Sunday, October 20, 2-4 p.m., at the Valley Inn Restaurant, 2221 West Main Road in Portsmouth. The event will support the many charitable activities of the Portsmouth Lions including the Rhode Island Cancer in Children Fund, the Rhode Island Lions Sight Foundation, the Rhode Island Food Bank, the Portsmouth Free Library, local youth sports teams, eye exams and glasses, disaster relief and scholarships for students at both Middletown and Portsmouth High Schools.
